In this part of the world, where the Ionian and the Mediterranean seas meet on the horizon, the economy still today is based on fishing and agriculture. Label graphics: 1630 is the year in which the fisheries of Marzamemi, some of the oldest and most important in Sicily, passed from the Spaniards to the Prince of Donnadorata. This nobleman brought new life to these lands renewing the ancient traditions of fishing and tuna conservation. The colours and graphics of the label reflect Trinacria, the ancient name of Sicily, and the decorations typical of the Arabs who founded the seafaring town of Marzamemi.
